Sdruws Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I have updated Defender till Definition Update 1.14.1361.6 for BETA Windows Defender (KB915597)during Microsoft update, or at least I guessed it !!!However product remains with the first original signature, inspite of many updates.Icon at taks bar indicates a exclamation point and remains like that after installation.Everytime I go to Windows Update, Defender is there again and again, saying I have downloaded it and needs to be installed.Useless try to install. Does not work.Where is the update file ?Does it happen with anyone ?How can I solve it, please??

naftalim Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Frankly, I am disappointed with Microsoft on this program. MS Anti-Spyware worked really well. Now, I cannot get engine of definition updates, I tried the "fix" described here and in other areas and it has not worked. I uninstalled Defender and re-installed and now the definitions are 69 days old!!! This is such basic stuff, I don't understand how this is handled so poorly.Georgehttp://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=69632We already have a topic on this http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=915105Here is the MS Article on this Beta Issue.
