AndrewParker
Once you've woken the PC up, what do you want to do with it, install software?Cheers
Radimus
you need the PCs mac address to send the WOL packet. There are ways to harvest them from a MS DHCP server, using DHCPCMD from M$.in any event, you will need some skills to collect the MAC, match to IP and hostname.I've done it using KiXtart and KiXforms
RogueSpear
If you want a GUI interface, take a look at DameWare NT Utilities. It does quite a bit more than just WOL, but's a pretty slick and easy package. Been using it for years and don't let the "NT" in the name disuade you, they've just never bothered changing the name. chiners_68
ive found this one to be pretty good..http://www.youngzsoft.net/cc-get-mac-address/leave it scanning to pickup machines which switch on later in the day or on other days. then click on the correct unit you wish to wake up & hit the button. seems to be working a treat..
