him Posted June 30, 2003 Share Posted June 30, 2003 has anyone heard of IBServer before, don't know if they are really fame or not but it works fine on "my computer"!the reason i put a quote around "my computer" before people cannot access from the other locations! i have register a no-ip dns to let peopel to view my files put it that folder..however, none of them can access except the other machine on the same network..i just wanna ask am i missing something in here like HTTP server or something..? vcant Posted June 30, 2003 Share Posted June 30, 2003 what OS you using?if you running XP pro or win2000 you already have IIS server on it, but probably will have to add it in 'Windows Components', if you running win2k3 it should be already running...otherwise you need to install a web server, may be Apache, or maybe something simplier.if you only need to share files, then its probably better to put an FTP server.
