Wijono Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 The drag-and-drop of executable (EXE files) in Windows Explorer of Win98SE behaves as follows:- default: create shortcut- press <Shift> simultaneously: move file- press <Ctrl> simultaneously: copy fileWhereas in WinXP it behaves like this:- default: move file- press <Ctrl> simultaneously: copy fileI find that behavior in XP is more convenient.It certainly is a challenge for so many Win98 experts out there to find a way to simulate that XP behavior in Win98SE. Someone has the idea?
Fredledingue Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 I agree!How manytimes I made the mistake of making a shortcut instead of moving the real file!Especialy now, whe I removed the sparrow from the icons.Worse: it behave that way with multiple selection of files of every types.
