vortex105 Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Situation:Network with Active Directory, 2003 forest functional level, with DNS and NO WINS;1 forest, 1 domain, 1 site, let's say domain.localOne dhcp scope which is reaching limit, 192.168.100.0/24. I needed to increase IP addresses on the network. I chose to create another scope, 192.168.104.0/22, which has 1024 addresses. I made all necessary settings, like:- one dhcp superscope, inluding both scopes;- I configured the router, added new interface, configuring dhcp relay agent to pass dhcp requests between two subnets;Problem: at the tcp/ip level comunication is fine, the users from the new subnet cand ping, read mail and surf the web; at the netbios level, the users cannot see network neighborhood, cannot see shares and the unc are not working, like \\computername.If somebody has a hint, please let me know. Thanks
nitroshift Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Maybe it would have been simplier to just enlarge the reservations pool.
