[Question] Ansi.sys in XP

I know how to implement Ansi in Dos based Os's but how is it implemented for use in Win.XP .bat files etc... please?

You mean display correct "specials" characters in .cmd/.bat ?

If yes, you can use alternative to notepad ...

Notepad2 :

Select your text and use Conversion ANSI -> OEM

PSPad :

Format -> OEM

I have these problemes with french language with accentuated characters.

That's not what I need. I want to use ANSI.SYS or ANSI.COM in the XP CMD.EXE or Command.com window.

I have found the answer to my own query by Googling which I now know I should have done before posting .
