You need to check and see if the Netlogon Service is running on the servers you are trying to log onto. If both servers are setup on the same IP network segment and have the same subnet mask they should both be able to communicate and share resources. NetBIOS names are for WINS Servers. NetBios over TCP/IP is used for WINS Servers also. Also if you have the servers setup in Native mode, then if your Global Catalog Server is down you will not be able to logon unless you are in the Enterprise Admin group. The Global Catalog Server is the first server in the domain that was promoted to be a DC in the domain by default. It controls user logon in a Native Mode setup with Windows 2000/2003 servers in a domain.
