Terminal Server

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is there anyone who would know why a Windows 2000 server will allow an administrator of that machine to connect to another Windows 2000 Server running Terminal Services (in application mode).

Yet, the moment a normal "user" of the first Windows 2000 server who has a "logon locally" policy defined at this server, with additional "logon locally" rights on the second server running Terminal Services (in application mode) simply cannot connect to the Terminal Server.

After a looooong wait, the server simply replies with "The Terminal server has ended the connection"

The user has been given permission on the "RDP" properties of the Terminal server.

Should this user be added to the "Administrators Group" he/she connects from the Windows 2000 Server to the Windows 2000 Terminal Server without any isssues.....

Removing him/her from the Administrators group results in the "The Terminal server has ended the connection" message. However, should he/she connect from a Windows 2000 Pro client, all is A-OK......

:}

Anyone.... Any idees.....

Thanks

Check terminal server licensing...had this problem once with expired temporary licenses.
