averagecdn Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 (edited) I have a Windows 2000 computer that is running office 2k with outlook 2k. When I close out of Outlook it hangs with the message "Please wait while microsoft outlook exits". Anyone have any idea how to get rid of this message.Regards,MarkPlease close this thread. Anne Troy Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Have you run detect and repair from the help menu? When's the last time you checked the size of your PST file? Perhaps it's getting large... over 2GB?
Slashur Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 I have this same issue in my corporate enviroment. No matter how many times you run detect and repair, check the PSTs, or reinstall Office, it will not fix the issue. I have found a link with the patch for outlook that will fix it. However, it doesn't workwell with slipstreaming patches. If you slipstream it into an admin installation, it says the source doesn't match what you've installed. However it works.Fix
