Guest LouCypher Posted November 28, 2001 Posted November 28, 2001 Yeah, it's blank by default.HKEY_USERS.DEFAULTControl PanelColorsBackgroundis the location of the default background color for classic logon. RGB Value, with spaces seperating each color (ex. 00 00 00 is Black)

zErO Posted December 6, 2001 Posted December 6, 2001 u can get a prog called xp loginUI which does it for u, check it out its at various xp sites or let me know and I will post a site for u
hermit Posted December 6, 2001 Author Posted December 6, 2001 that's another storyi m concerned about the wallpaper thingy and the color thing...not the logon screen itselfcan u check for me to see if the key is really "blank" by default?cuz making it "blank" looks weird to me during startup
Guest LouCypher Posted December 6, 2001 Posted December 6, 2001 Yep, it's blank by default. On every version of Windows that I've changed it on. What was yours before you set it back to blank? What is coming up as the background now?Do search on your system for *.BMP and then look at those and figure out the filename of the graphic that is popping up.Open regedit and do a search for the filename and see if it comes up anywhere interesting. If it does, you might be able to remove it from the registry or change it. This is of course [b:7ec5ec4f21]only[/b:7ec5ec4f21] if your background is being set by something that looks at the registry and not an .INI file for the graphic location. If it's in an .INI instead you can do a search for files containing text = the filename of the graphic.
