[Question] Industry standard for hardware failures

I'm looking for a resource to tell my the industry standard on hardware failure. We believe we are experiencing a high level of bad hard drives and motherboards. I was trying to find some information on Gartner's website but came up high and dry. Does anyone have any information, links, websites, documents, etc they could provide that show what the industry standard is for bad hardware?
