Hello all, I am sorry if this is obvious, but this is my first attempt at creating an Unattended WinXP cd. Is it supposed to just sit at the "Boot from the cd press any key.." after I press a key? That is all mine do so far. I have let one sit for about an hour and nothing changes. No HD activity that I can see. Let me know what coudl be wrong thanks.

My system is a P4 3.4GHz, Intel 915PBL, 512MB of RAM. Using Windows XP Pro.

Thanks

Hi,

No it's not. You may not have created a bootable CD in the right way, or possibly something else is causing your problem.

Without more detail on what you did to create your CD we can't give any useful help I'm afraid.

Sorry, it was late when I wrote. I created cds multiple ways. I used nLite for one to do everything then burned the image with Nero. I created one using the techniques in the guide that is here for beginners. Those didn't boot at all. I also created one like they show in the PCStats article. Hope this help

You still haven't exactly said HOW you made the bootable CD in detail.

There're certain settings in Nero which you must select to make a bootable CD bootable. If done correctly the CD would boot within 3 seconds of the message.

And please use a meaningful topic title.
