ie: put a number into (x) to find an answer for what the formula was formulated for?

well say the formula was 2X+1

if u integrate (that;s the funny squiggle that looks like an S)

then u find the area under the graph,

all he's doing is integrating a really complicated formula, when u integrate trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan etc) it all starts getting a bit funny....

whooops sorry he was differentiating which means u find the gradient of the line at a particular point
