I formatted my pc and they were on a backup storage hard drive i had, and i have scanned both drives, internal and external and clear, but anti virus running, they still appear to be appearing.

How do i get rid of them?

That's the dreaded W32.Pinfi virus!! That virus is a known file corrupter. :realmad:

Gotten that virus before when I didn't expect it and thus was forced to reinstall and redownload software back in 2003. Luckly that it didn't corrupt all files on the HDD. This virus will corrupt exe files on drives that are writable!!
