Featured Replies

hi all,

you know the command regsvr32 can remove dlls that you dont need?

well does anyone know a command that displays a list of dlls that are available for removal?

I'm using it for registering .dll files, and I know about /u; /s; /i; and /n switches and nothing more... :}

Not all the dll are safe to unregister, but I have unregistered the following:

regsvr32 /u /s shmedia.dll
regsvr32 /u /s licdll.dll
regsvr32 /u /s igfxpph.dll
regsvr32 /u /s msimtf.dll
regsvr32 /u /s msctf.dll

heres a nice utility called "Control Registration Utility" that works very well, it's a GUI front end for Microsoft's REGSVR32, and makes it easy to see whats registered, and then unregister the crap you dont want.
