Totally Newbie In Computers..Recentely Bought AMD machine ,Its a 3000+ 939 Socket ,ASUS A8NE Mobo ,and a 512 MB Ram. Am planing to upgrade my RAM to 1gb,but am in a bit confusion ,my frds are saying that

instead of buying a single 1 gb Module of ram buy another 512 mb of ram as it will give more performance compared to a single 1GB module ......Guys is it true that 2 Module of ram give more performance compared to single module..
