Drewdatrip Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 Hey guys, i have a client that is interested in a super micro Dual Xeon server, he needs more then 3 32bit pci slots, buit i havent found any boards that support this. Are 64bit PCI-x slots backwards compatable with 32bit cards? if not anyone have any reccomnds? It needs to support a min od 2gigs ECC Reged ddr, 2 Xeon 3.06, and a Agp of some sort=Drew
Guest jhaislet Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 Yes, they are backwards compatable as long as the 32bit cards are keyed right. If the card will physically fit in the 64bit slot, is fine.
