Hey all,

I've been using this site for a while (viewing) but only just signed up to post as I've finnally found a question your site dosent already seem to have an answer to. All I want to know is whether I can run RVMIntegrator on some XP files on the HDD (copied & pasted the whole cd), THEN use PowerPacker on these files to integrate the BTSDriverPacks and make a multiboot dvd?

I've tried the PREPACK.BAT method to integrate the updates but it didn't work, the DOS box just sat there, anyway, I dont need the integration to be unattended. I just need to end up with copies of xp (Home, Pro, & Pro corperate) with the RVM updates, the BTSDriverPacks, and my $OEM$ folder (single custom .exe launched thru GUIRunOnce).

I know Siginet's gone through pretty great lengths to make the integrator work with Powerpacker. That being said, I guess you'll have to wait for him to come in and explain exactly how since I really don't know

OK, thanks, maybe someone could tell me whats going wrong with my PREPACK.BAT?

E:\updates\RVM_Integrator_1.0.5.exe /u %cd% "E:\updates\RVMUpdatePack2.0.1.cab"

The "E:\updates" folder has:

PREPACK.BAT

RVM_Integrator_1.0.5.exe

RVMUpdatePack2.0.1.cab

in it, and I dont have any addon.cab's. Plus if it makes any difference, my source files are in E:\XP then \P, \H, and \C and the output going to \DVD.

PowerPacker launches PREPACK.BAT, and that launches RVM_Integrator_1.0.5.exe (you can see it in task manager, there is no window, but then it just sits there and does nothing. Task manager shows the CPU usage as "00" for it. I've used the integrator before (the normal way) and it worked fine.

Actually my post on how to use RVMIntegrator and PowerPacker together works... but is not the best way to do it.

The best way to do it would be to use the integrator first. Let it do its job and then use Powerpacker to create a tripack for you of the integrated i386 folder.

In the next release of the integrator this will be very simple because there will be an advanced tab in the integrator that will allow you to call an external program with optional switches upon completion of the integration process.

The reason I haven't updated my thread here is because I know soon we will be releasing the new integrator which will make everyones life way easier.

So stay tuned! Things will be getting easier very soon. I also plan to update the code in powerpacker to have a lot of new features too. It's just getting motivated and getting time latley that is holding me back. But there are a lot of plans brewing in the works right now.

Yeah, thats what I was hoping. Run the integrator, then powerpacker. I'm assuming I dont need to create a tripack? I already have a powerpack output folder with home, pro, and corperate attended versions in it. And I dont need driverpackless versions. So can I just use powerpacker to add the unattrended versions with updates and driverpacks to that?
