quotee Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Hello Everybody& a *HAPPY NEW YEAR 2006*Does anybody know how to set the "alternate configuration" of TCP/IP per script? As far as I found out, there is no way to saet it with netsh!Maybe anybody here had/has the same problem here?greetzquotee
Br4tt3 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 u can use netsh to do the trick.... and vbscripting (WMI). For netsh it is the interface context u have to use;netsh interface ip add address <>netsh interface ip add dns <>
quotee Posted January 2, 2006 Author Posted January 2, 2006 thx,but this is not what I am looking for, I want to set the alternate configuration, I don´t want to change the IP!and therefore I need a script to have this configuration when I set up my PC with a unattended CD ;-)greetz
psycho2048 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 the Windows XP SP2 Deployment tools (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=3E90DC91-AC56-4665-949B-BEDA3080E0F6&displaylang=en)have a program (setupmgr.exe) which can be used to make a custom winnt.sif file. i believe you can set the alternate config via that program
