Mrcldb Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I've installed this dlls from XP SP1 to my windows 98SE/me/95explorer shell. Works fine, except for powrprof.dll, which I disable. It would be good to know if there is some effective change, since ntdll.dll changes from 26 kb to more than 500 in the XP version. Greetings for all and a very good year. Imagehlp.dll 5.1.2600.1106 (xpsp1.020828-1920)Ntdll.dll 5.1.2600.1106 (xpsp1.020828-1920)
LLXX Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I don't think that's a good idea, since 9x and XP are totally different architecture. Have you used any program that uses the functions in ntdll yet?
Mrcldb Posted January 2, 2006 Author Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) yes, I'm using internet (dial-up) just now which involves ntdll.dll; but I realize you also lose "display properties" with ntdll.dll so.... Edited January 2, 2006 by Mrcldb
jimmsta Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 I've experimented with this. It does not work. Try installing a program that says 'designed for Windows XP'. Come back with the results. I doubt it'll run.
