New applications on 98?

To save space within a program, many are written to take advantage of things already written in the OS.

If it was written for XP, then 98 just doesn't have the stuff to run it.

Accept it.....don't fight with it.

If you want to run programs written for XP,,,,then just do the upgrade to XP.

Good Luck and Happy New Year,

Windows 98 Revolutions Pack 4 (build 2700)

Here we go: super-new Revolutions Pack 4 features. It is similar to XP compatibillity page, but hides more important features - now you can make any application believe that you're running Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP! RP4 also include KernelXP technology, whcih extends Win9X API with Unicode functions which weren't supported well. So more applications can run!

;)
