Need help to create small start.html for ftp server

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I recenlty got access to good ftp network and I need help on creating start page where link would be located to my x64 pack + addons

Right now I'm bit confused why .cab from ftp cannot be downloaded:

ftp0mz.th.png

I can download it only by filling my link to .cab with username + password. But I don't want to do that because everybody would see login name and password and would do harm to it.

how much web development are you going to do. If you are only going to mainatin a few pages, you might not want to waste time learning HTML,CSS,DHTML,Javascript,PHP,MySQL etc (all the crap i know i use for web dev) and concentrate on using something like dreamweaver or frontpage. If you want a WYSIWUG editor then download WeDwarf from my site http://www.nerdyninja.com/webdwarf.exe

If you want to learn to develop then w3shools is a good start. also try

http://www.webmonkey.com/ for tutorials

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ for rady made scripts

@phkninja

Good point,

On my web there will be 3 or 4 links pointing out to other .html that I will write. 2 of them are already done. So my web is very small :yes:

DHTML,Javascript,PHP,MySQL? wtf is that?, hehe :lol: (I'll learn those too)

Anyway I found FrontPage crappy, I just used Windows NotePad to write .htmls :thumbup . I will try dreamweaver asap.

Thanks for the links, I'll check them out. I can't use WYSIWUG editor right now, does not work with 64-bit os. I believe dreamweaver would be best app to help creating tables or other harder elements ? ;)

Thanks
