I installed xp with sp2 slipstreamed in and on my computer my remote desktop icon does not show up under communications (you know where I mean). How do I make it be there?

see if you can even run it... by going to start -> run -> %SystemRoot%\System32\mstsc.exe

yep..it will alow me to run it but I really like the icon.

make a shortcut to it lol

Well it did not work the first time I dont it but now it worked. Thanks for the very simple fix.

what would make it not install it right the first time. The reason for the question is becuase I rebuilt my laptop and it installed the correc the first time.

did you by chance use nLite? or have you disabled any services... its possible you disabled soemthing that Remote Desktop needed and the first time you ran it it couldn't run.. but started the services.. the second time it ran cause the services were running..

just an idea though.

I used another program. I'm going to download the the nlht.
