Failure Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Hello, My comp uses an Intel 810 chipset. Recently a guy did a reinstall of win98se for me, but I'm not sure the graphics are right. The Diagnostic thing showed that it was running on 65000 colours. I downloaded and reinstalled the drivers, but even though i've set it on high colour, it doesnt seem right.. Is there any reason for this ?I also have another problem. I've been using tweakui to get rid of those ugly arrows on desktop icons for shortcuts. Today I ran the windows update for critical updates, and on reboot, the arrows have returned. Even though I've set it on "do not place arrows" in tweakui, they still display .Any ideas on getting rid of them please ?
the_guy Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 No idea about the graphics issue. Does your computer have an inboard graphics card? If not, try finding the software for it.The shortcut icon is because of the MS02-014 update. Look at MDGx's site for some fixes.the_guy

I'm a novice, I'll ask my friend about it. And thank you for that link. It solved the problem beautifully
