natan770 Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Hi there;I've just started my little software repository... here are the rules of the making :MSI only (customized with a MST, or repackaged)switchless (of course)shrinked (that is, with 7-zip)auto-extractable (sfx, with cmd batch included to launch the install).Everything is shared there :http://repository.windowsdream.com/Enjoy!Natanhttp://updater.windowsdream.com -- Auto-update your PC with freeware/opensourcehttp://updater.windowsdream.com/why_msi.html -- Understand why installing packaged MSI is better"http://ping.windowsdream.com/ -- PING (Partimage Is Not Ghost)

rikgale Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Hey NatanVery nice! Would it be possible to add the file size to each description. I don't really wish to d/l a file and find it bigger than something I am already using. Also it will be a good reference for ppl who only have a little space left on there disc and need to see how big a file is.Also try here for the latest switchless iTunes.RegardsRik

rikgale Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 NatanPlease bear in mind that this does not install QT, so the user will need to install the latest version of QT or QTalt.Yes I am still alive, I try and spend 10 - 20 mins after doing Uni work sifting the fourms.I am working/Will be working on a switchless installer for LaTeX/MikTeX, if you'd be interested at some point. It will be some incentive to actually move from a concept to actaully trying to do it. Roll on January.Rik

I'm probably going to be needing a LaTeX document writing/compiling system on my computer at some point in the near future. Hope to see what you can come up with. If you need a computer guinea pig, let me know.

Has it been compiled for win32 so far?

Every exe contains a msi, sometimes mst too, and there's a small cmd to execute the msi. The msi are made to get ride of problems, like reboots, etc.Packages are regularly updated.
