Alright i am having a little trouble with my windows welcome screen. I want the system to boot up and i want to pick my profile icon at the welcome screen before bootup continues. I know i stops if you have a password or if you have more than 1 account but i want it to stop at my welcome profile icon without a password and with my account being the only account. and YES i do have "Use the Welcome Screen" check under the user accounts options. suggetions ppl? I have XP Pro with SP2.

As far as I know it is not possible.. :}

Try running control userpasswords2 and select "Users nust enter a user name and password to use this computer."

If there's only one account shown on the Welcome screen and that acc has no pw then it won't just stop there and wait for you. That's by design.

And why would you want it to stop there anyway if there's only one account?

Either create a pw or another account.
