This is caused by malware, which has installed itself on your pc, run hijackthis, check for invalid entries and suspicious files (google them if needed, research). Install antivirus software and spyware applications on your pc as well.

Scan your pc for antivirus' and spyware and remove the invalid entries, also run a registry cleaner.

Requirment for all Home user's:

SpywareGuard (Resident Protection)

SpywareBlaster

Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware

Registry Cleaner

I'll have to check my version of IE but it is set to automatically

update when there's a new version so I should be good on that.

I've ran Norton Antivirus and I use Spysweeper and they show nothing.

Norton did however detect a virus this week that took over my background.

Now I'm unable to edit my wallpaper at all.

My Desktop settings under "Display" are frozen.

But this happened after the link thing.

I would have thought Spysweeper would fix my problem but I guess

I'll have to try something else.

Thanks for the info.
