Is there a way in group policy to allow my users to go certain webs sites if so were? I want them to only go to sites in a .gov and .org domain.

I think that this is only possible on ISA server or am I wrong maybe

This is very possible. You can configure security options for internet explorer to only allow certain websites. You can set this up so that you only allow *.gov and *.org domains. This is done under the Security

* Security Zones and Content Rating portion of your GP.

Go to user config>windows settings>internet explorer maintnance and you will see security there.

I go to security it lets you do specfic site do you know were in there do you specify like .gov or .org. Are could you tell me exactly how to accomplish this....

Don't forget, if a user uses a different browser then all those settings are useless...something like ISA or some robust firewall will do you right. But GP isn't big enough on it's own to help you.

id say both points of view are correct.

GPSHelp has quite correctly pointed out a means of achieving what u want to achieve.

The other view is also correct(perhaps more so) in that internet filtering should not and never be done at the client level(in a managed network environment), this is an distribution level matter and thus shud be corrected at distribution level.

Whilst i appluad GPShelp for his technical and 'creative' angle. His solution is the equivalent of using paddle pop sticks to build a bridge.

Whilst possible, its not capable of handling any robust requirments.
