benohit Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 (sorry for my english)hello !!!i'm a network administrator, and i've got problems on computers : here it is :a computer ( with windows xp home installed on it ) infected by an "unknown" (by me) virus can't resolve dns addresses anymore...When i try to ping www.google.fr or any fqdn address, it doesn't seem to find it,but it pings ip adresses like my router : 192.168.1.1... or public addresses too...Anyone knows about this i how could i disinfect this computer please ? i installed the Windows XP SP2 on it and it runs AVG as an antivirus... it was scanned with avast too, but the problem is still here...
epic Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Sounds like your tcp stack is corrupt. Uninstall and reinstall, should solve your issue.
