Kelsenellenelvian Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Yes it is the vmware issue vmware does not support winnt.sif video settings.
Mercury_22 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Yes it is the vmware issue vmware does not support winnt.sif video settings. Even in "real install" you need your video card drivers to be install
bobthenob Posted December 12, 2005 Author Posted December 12, 2005 hi thanks well lets burn the dvd and test it i have my graphic card drivers on my unatended cd thanks again
cluberti Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Yes - unless your video drivers are installed (via the OemPnpDriversPath and $OEM$ method) during the Windows installation, or your video card's drivers are included in the Windows drivers, you will get a 640x480 screen no matter what resolution you set. It has nothing to do with VMWare (start installing the VMWare tools, then copy the drivers off of the virtual CD it creates to put these into your own CD - I do this with great success).
kentk Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 The graphic setting for vmware works fine for me !I set the resolution to 800x600 in winnt.sif and that works...I have version 5.5, but when I install the vmware tools the resolution goes down to 640x480 after reboot and then I have to manually adjust the resolution..

jonathan_314 Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 (edited) Had the same problem, but only in VM. So no prob. In "real life" it works just fine. Edited January 5, 2006 by jonathan_314
