Tomcat76 Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 I'm wondering if there exists a reg hack with which it's possible to let Windows Update believe that Windows Messenger 4.7 is still installed after removing it.I know one can customize the display of individual optional hotfixes on Windows Update, but I'm after a registry tweak (or file tweak).
Tomcat76 Posted December 7, 2005 Author Posted December 7, 2005 It just occured to me that I posted this in the wrong forum. I was talking about Windows XP...
Sonic Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Windows Update detects direct the %ProgramFiles%\Messenger folder ... You can't bypass by a registry tweak :-( ... Personnaly I install the latest version and hide it ...
