cannot power up

i know this is talked a lot but... i got a new computer from tigerdirect. all parts came seperate.

once i assembled the computer there is no video. there is power to motherboard, graphics card, hard drive.

i took the ram away and the next bootup it started beeping. once i put it back - there is no beep but the system doesnt start.

any points i missed? please need help.

bad choice going with tiger direct. start off testing each component one by one on another computer.
