Nightlord Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I created my (almost) perfect Unattended DvD- Custom icons, themes, tweaks, everything. The WINNT.SIF file is set to autopartition and format so all I have to do is boot to the DvD, and all the work is done for me. The only problem is... sometimes it makes the partition become DRIVE E:, instead of DRIVE C:. The DvD is always DRIVE D: like it's supposed to be, but the harddrive seems to be completely random. It's like at some point during the initial setup it notices that there's an old C:... and instead of wiping it before repartitioning, it makes a new partition and THEN begins the format/install process.Any suggestions?
jbm Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Including the lines below in your winnt.sif file will cause setup to deleteall the partitions on the C: drive and create a new partition and format itas NTFS. If you have partitons on this drive you want to keep then don'tuse this.[unattended] Repartition = YesI always choose to manually partiton, just to be safe. On my computerif I have an external USB2 or Firewire drive hooked up setup wants tomake it my C drive.
Nightlord Posted November 26, 2005 Author Posted November 26, 2005 Yes, that's one of the lines I have in my file already. Thus the note about autopartitioning and formatting.
jbm Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Then you should post a copy of your winnt.sif minus your CD key.
