November 26, 200520 yr just got a new wireless adapter, zew2500p. and for some reason, it is recognizing that my netgear router is there, but it wont/cant connect to it for some reason. ive tried a bunch of different drivers too...
November 26, 200520 yr i would try the following:1) drivers like u said2) make sure there is no encryption on the WAP until u can definatly connect to it3) give yourself a static IP in the same rangealso i had this wierd problem once where i couldnt connect to a WAP and found that if i opened the TCP/IP properties of the wireless connection and simply looked through all the tabs and pages and settings etc it connected... there was no way to explain this but it worked so maybe give that a go? possibl it was a bug with he WAP hope you get this sorted, i know how **** frustrating wireless can be lol
November 26, 200520 yr Author ive done 1 and 3. as for 2, how do i check that? i know that the router doesnt have an encription on it, but does the adaptor?
November 26, 200520 yr Author fixed it, i forgot that a while back i made it so that my router would only accept mac addressess that i told it to b/c one of my neighbors got wireless...
