indianarchie Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 I have a cabinet with front and back USB ports. The guy who assembled the computer has not connected the front ports. What I mean is, the front ports are there, but nothing happens when I plug my Flash drive into them. I would like to try connecting these ports to the motherboard myself, instead of asking the guy to do it again. My motherboard is Intel 945 GNT. Can someone tell me what I need to do this, and how to go about it please.
Zxian Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Have a look at the motherboard manual. There should be a description for extra USB connectors on the motherboard. Hopefully, if you've got a nice case, the connector will be one solid 2x5 plug that fits right over the 9 pins on the motherboard (1 pin is a dummy pin to prevent you from plugging it in backwards).
