chiners_68
I have the following list of updates that are to be installed after XP SP1a. Can i get away with doing this lot in 1 go in svcpack.inf?Also on msfn unattended it says to put the files in numerical order. Wouldnt it be better to install them in the order they are installed from WU site.?Signature="$Windows NT$"MajorVersion=5MinorVersion=1BuildNumber=2600[setupData]CatalogSubDir="\I386\SvcPack"[ProductCatalogsToInstall]KB826939.cat[setupHotfixesToRun]MP10Sup.exedirectx9.exe /Q:A /R:Ndotnetfx.exe /Q:A /R:Nq826939.exe /q /o /n /zKB842773.exe /q /o /n /zQ322011.exe /Q /O /N /Z Q327405.exe /Q:A /R:NQ327979.exe /Q /O /N /Z Q810243.exe /Q /O /N /Z 814078.exe /Q:A /R:N Q814995.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB817778.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB820291.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB821253.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB822603.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB823353.exe /Q:A /R:NKB824105.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB826942.exe /Q /O /N /Z Q828026.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB828035.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB831240.exe /QQ832483.EXE /Q:A /R:NKB833987.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB835732.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB837001.EXE /Q /O /N /Z KB839643.EXE /Q /O /N /Z KB839645.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB840374.EXE /Q /O /N /Z KB840987.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB841356.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB841533.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB841873.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB867460.exe /Q KB871250.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB873339.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB873376.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB885250.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB885835.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB885836.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB886903.exe /QKB887797.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB888113.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB888302.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB890046.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB890830.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB890859.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB891122.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB891781.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB892130.EXE /Q:A /R:NKB892944.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB893066.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB893756.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB893803.exe /Q /O /N /ZKB896358.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB896422.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB896423.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB896424.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB896426.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB896428.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB896688.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB897715.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB898461.EXE /Q /O /N /Z KB899587.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB899589.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB899591.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB900725.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB901017.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB901214.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB902344.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB902400.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB904706.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB905414.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB905495.exe /Q /O /N /Z KB905749.exe /Q /O /N /Z QCHAIN.exeSVCPACK.INF
Vadikan
Can i get away with doing this lot in 1 go in svcpack.inf? You should be able to, although it may take some time. Wouldnt it be better to install them in the order they are installed from WU site.?It would be better to slipstream SP2, and then add another 30 or so pre-SP3 hotfixes That way you don't have to care about the order. All pre-sp3 hotfixes use update.exe that checks for the file versions anyway. Some pre-SP2 hotfixes may have this functionality too, you need to check the version. Links on the subject:Command-line switches for Windows software update packagesThe Package Installer (Formerly Called Update.exe) for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Windows ComponentsIs there any specific reason you don't want SP2?
