kimbo263
Hi, Could anyone help me please? I can get onto my Internet explorer but as soon as I go to a secure site it messages 'page cannot be displayed'. I have changed my security settings as suggested, updated my LAN SETTINGS, still no joy. I have now been told that my Explorer browser is corrupt and to reinstall it. I have then re-installed/repaired with the XP disk but it still will not allow a secure page to download. I have tried everything my limited knowledge allows and have now come to a standstill. Any suggestions, please...............

cluberti
Is your computer directly connected to the internet, or do you have a firewall or router in place between you and your broadband modem? I've seen hardware routers and firewalls mess with SSL connections because of packet size and signature issues...

kimbo263
Just want to say thanks to everyone who sent suggestions. actually turned out that it was a problem with my Norton, was being blocked somehow. Anyhow, resolved it by simply removing Norton. Thanks again.
