The $OEM$ Distribution Folders

I have setup my $oem$ folders on my xp cd as stated at http://unattended.msfn.org/global/oemfolders.htm

I have put some files in 1$ & $$ folders on the cd. I have done an install of XP with this cd but the files that are in the $oem$ folders have not copied to the relevant directories on the PC.

what could be the problem.

ensure that

oempreinstall=yes

is in you winnt.sif file.

memory says add under the unattended section but the link you mention does cover this, if not on the exact page on another or do a search and you'll find the answer

my oempreinstall is set to no so that is most likely the problem.

what else does the oempreinstall effect on an install.? I vaguley recall i had it turned of for some other reason.?

i don't recall it affecting any thing else.

Ref.chm from the deploy tools cab, may be able to shed better light on it though.

Also make sure you're using $1 instead of 1$.

I do have $1 on my CD it was just a typo on the post.
