fillalph
I have no problem adding reg keys or modifying then, but I don't know how to permanately delete them. I do know that if you put a - (minus) sign in front of a path there ie.[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] that removes all the keys (at least from what I remember). But how do I remove keys that have links to files?[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]"MsnMsgr"="\"C:\\Program Files\\MSN Messenger\\MsnMsgr.Exe\" /background"[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]"NvCplDaemon"="RUNDLL32.EXE C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup""nwiz"="nwiz.exe /install""NvMediaCenter"="RUNDLL32.EXE C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\NvMcTray.dll,NvTaskbarInit""Apoint"="C:\\Program Files\\Apoint2K\\Apoint.exe""AnyDVD"="C:\\Program Files\\SlySoft\\AnyDVD\\AnyDVD.exe""Acrobat Assistant 7.0"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Acrobat 7.0\\Distillr\\Acrotray.exe\"""FinePrint Dispatcher v5"="\"C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\spool\\DRIVERS\\W32X86\\3\\fpdisp5a.exe\" /source=HKLM""NeroFilterCheck"="C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\NeroCheck.exe"[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]"CTFMON.EXE"="C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\CTFMON.EXE"[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce]Do I just make them null? ie."nwiz"="". If that works is that the only solution. I would prefer to have them remove completely.Edit: Mods, could you change sartup to startup. Thanks]Bonkers[ Edited November 19, 2005 by ]Bonkers[
benners
Using the minus sign again you can remove the subkeys.[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]"AGRSMMSG"=-
