Remove sartup reg keys

I have no problem adding reg keys or modifying then, but I don't know how to permanately delete them. I do know that if you put a - (minus) sign in front of a path there ie.

[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

that removes all the keys (at least from what I remember).

But how do I remove keys that have links to files?

Do I just make them null? ie.

"nwiz"=""

. If that works is that the only solution. I would prefer to have them remove completely.

Edit: Mods, could you change sartup to startup.

Using the minus sign again you can remove the subkeys.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
