D8TA Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I know that the Windows Desktop Search has just been released but I am tasked with trying to figure out which one is better Copernic's Desktop Search or Windows Desktop Search and why. So I am trying to get a feel for anyone who has used Copernic's Desktop Search. One thing I liked when I read about Microsoft's Desktop search is that it's optimized with features that help the enterprise IT manager easily customize, deploy and manage the installation of desktop search across all users and computers in their organization. This Desktop Search will be used in an environment that consists of about 2400 PCs. We are working on getting everyone up and running with Active Directory but currently all the nodes aren't on a domain. All PCs are running Windows XP. Any advice on these two Desktop Search apps would be greatly apprecitated. Thanks!
D8TA Posted November 16, 2005 Author Posted November 16, 2005 I guess nobody is investigating Desktop Search tools?I came across another by Coveo which is a spin off of Copernic. I am still wondering about Windows Desktop Search. I like how this desktop search actually replaces the original old Windows search under the Start menu.
