eyeball Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 i have a problem and its doing my head in! lol here it isi have 2 xp pro machines connected by a crossover cable they both have only the administrator account and the guest account on, they are called "one" and "two"ones ip - 192.168.1.1twos ip - 192.168.1.2on one i tried mapping \\192.168.1.2\c$ and it pops up with the box for authentication, greyed out is two\guest so i enter the password and nothing happens... so i went in computer management i added the guest as a member of the administrators and tried again and still nothingthe same happens from the other machine (two to one) please help! i want to access admin shares without actually sharing the drives!! (by the way if i do share the drives i can access them no probs)thanks for any help
