Lynkage
When I use the "run as" command to run a program as my admin account, Windows Explorer crashes, then reloads, and the application I was trying to open doesnt open at all. This happens with MMC snap ins, control panel applications etc etcI have tried entering numerous different credentials into the run as dialog box including the local admin account but the same symptoms persist. I have also logged on as local admin and tried to use run as but again, explorer crashes and reloads so it doesnt appears to be a profile related issue. I am running Windows XP wih SP1 with up to date security patches, installing SP2 is not an option as this is a work machine. I have searched on Google and Microsoft Premier and cannot find anything relevant. Does anyone have any ideas?

chilifrei64
A clean boot.. as it may be the fix all.. is not always the first option. I would first try and run sfc.exe /scannow to replace system files with the correct versions. Also make sure that the secondary logon services is set to automatic.
