Since I'm new to all this and trying to understand what is going on in here I would like to see if I understand the following correctly:

to get the xpcd remove the excisting partition and perform a format on the empty partition before continuing the installation I have to add the following lines in the winnt.sif file :

Under [data] I add the command line :

AutoPartition=1

and under the section

[unattended]

Repartition=Yes

and to make sure that I run the app batch I have to add in the

[guirunonce]

"%systemdrive%\install\app.cmd"

thanks for your help and feedback

Repartition will delete any partitions of the first drive and will format the first drive. AutoPartition setting is irrelevent once Repartition is used.

@ Cluberti ok I understand but when I want to be sure that windows performs a format and installs windows on a clean drive I have to use the Repartition line in unnattended?

thanks again for your much appreciated help and feedback

Use the repartition. Whether or not is necessary doesn't matter if you want to format a clean drive. Like MHz said, autopartition becomes irrelevenant, I just leave autopartition in my winnt.sif and haven't had problems with both entries present.
