Rollup 2 and RU2fix integration....

as an FYI KB900325 requires .net 1.1, I had installed 2.0 directly (skipping 1.1 and SP1) and then tried installing KB900325 per post #10 via RunOnEx and it did not work (it says it needs 1.1). the wmfdist95.exe worked fine with .net 2.0. i think the post in #10 should read "wmfdist95.exe /Q" for quiet install

Install Order:

1. .net Framework 1.1

2. .net Framework 1.1 SP1

3. Sonic Encoders.

4. Rollup 2 kb900325 (19mb)

5. Windows Media Format 9.5

6. Update Rollup 2 (kb908250)

All other parts of the Rollup 2 .exe were installed as 'Hotfixes' earlier on during installation

Where do you get the Sonic Encoders? How do you install it unattended?

What do you mean by "all other parts of the rollup 2..."?

this does not seem to work for me. The install shows no errors but when I go into media center to play a dvd (and yes I installed a dvd decoder) it says it cannot play. the only fix is to reinstall RU2 manually. i had followed the same steps as Slumpey

Any one a new guide with latest hotfixes?

using Green machines tutorial to make .NET framework 1.1 with SP1 SFX

install it silently frm SVCPACK.INF

then in GuiRunOnce or RunOnceEx add KB900325.exe /q/n/z/o

so after the final reeboot RU2 get installed --i got working

i suppose this would be a better way 2 install ru2 unattended
