Hello everyone..

Our domain controller and several file servers, plus one SQL Server, are on Windows 2000. Workstations that connect to these servers are mostly Windows XP, several Windows NT Workstation and a few Windows 95. About 250 computers in all.

Now, I'm trying to setup an intranet server in our network on a separate machine with Windows Server 2003. If I'm going to use it just as a web (with both IIS and Apache) and mail and collaboration server (internal only, no internet connection, with DeskNow Lite and hMailServer), what licensing scheme do I need or do I need separate CALs for just the mentioned purpose? Upon installation, which should I select: "Per Server" or "Per Device or Per User"? If "Per Server", how many concurrent connections should I set it to? Do we need a CAL for every user accessing web pages in our intranet or sending and receiving mail? I'm sorry I don't understand much this licensing thing. Please help me. Assistance is very much appreciated.. Thanks!

Cals are needed for Network access to the server only. Access from internet (via web browser) is not required any CALs.

This is exception in licensing..

"The most common exception is when they are anonymous users accessing a Web site hosted on a Windows server"
