tornomac
Hi to all, I have a problem since a few days ago. When I invoke Word from Outlook (as mail editor) it begins the process but stops, and Outlook informs that Word is busy or corrupted.I can see in Task Manager that word is running, and apparently freezed. When I try to log off, the system informs that I have to close all word's windows before exiting OS.Some would be really usefull.tornomac (newbie )

asklepios
can you use word normally?does it launch word by double clicking on a .doc file?what was the last change that you made which lead to this problem?
tornomac
Yes! Word works fine. I can't remember a major or minor incident that could take me to this. I was wondering if it could be another program and not only Word viewer as M$ article says. Do you know what kind of file tries Outlook to execute when launches Word? I'm deep inside the file types list looking for anything wrong. Thanks for your support!
asklepios
it is more of a mystery for me too.did you try to undock word as an editor for outlook i.e. to go back to simple text editing and then getting the word back as an editor? it might solve an issue related to associations.did you install any new softwares? if you didn't do anything then i wonder what is the case.do you have an anti-virus software? it could be a virus.if everything fails you might have to re-install or repair outlook :|
tornomac
Well, I'm still here fooling around with some ideas. First, it's not an Outlook problem I think... it's a Word problem, but that will force me to reinstall Word from scartch keeping in mind those two SPs I have (1 and 2) .It would be of use to know the file that Outlook loads to invoke Word... any idea?Thank you
