i have downloaded few themes for windows xp from win customorize.com but they are all zip files containing bmp jpg and some files unknown to me called tga ssd .......the question is that where do i put this ?

and can any one tell me some more links of good win xp themes

does the zip file contain *.theme file ? if so just go to display properties, click on themes tab. In the themes dropdown list , click on browse and then choose the *.theme file from the location. Then follow the instruction..

no it does not have .theme file (

www.ThemeXP.org is where i get most of my theme stuff. However if you want to run the themes without

a 3rd party program like windblinds for example then you will need to download a modified dll.

uxtheme.dll to be exact just do a search for the name. After that the theme files go into

c:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes just use the oem themes you finde there as an example of how to

install your new ones. Have fun with them i did
