SwimmerB
I am looking for anyone with experience with configuring group policy on a windows 2003 server to setup an SUS server. Specifically the issue I am having is with one setting in particular.Which is:Remove access to use all Windows Update FeaturesThis is under the User config Amin templates Windows components Windows Updatesthe description for the setting seems to say that it will cut of access to all automatic update features. I am just wondering if this will clash with the computer GP settings I have that sets the computer to use an SUS server to auto update at a specific time. I don't think so but not sure so any info would be great. Thanks
chilifrei64
all the Remove access to use all Windows Update Features does is it greys out the control panel applet for the end user/administrator to make changes locally
fizban2
in the group policy just set the SUS server as the machine you want the machines on domain to connect to for updates, that way only updates that you approve will be available or installed.
