laurens Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 (edited) i want to add a line in boot.ini so when is use CHKDSK i can simply turn off the schreen. sorry for the bad description of my problem and my English.i have try this:[boot loader]timeout=30default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS[operating systems]multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetectto this[boot loader]timeout=30default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS[operating systems]multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /noguiboot /bootlogomulti(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional"now it takes more than 1 hour and then the screen goes black and a reboot is next. Fox Mulder Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 (edited) That happens because the boot.ini is set to /noguiboot /bootlogo. If you want to see boot messages, you will have to uninstall XPize boot screen. If you just remove the /noguiboot /bootlogo from the boot.ini file then the custom boot screen will be simply not shown.Boot.INI Options Reference:http://www.sysinternals.com/Information/bootini.htmlJust edit your boot.ini and leave it as it was before. laurens Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 I want to KEEP the bootscreen but not when I use CHKDSK so the only option is to make a EXTRA line in the boot.ini.
