dimegrind
I am the only account on my pc running XP Home. When I use to turn on my computer it would take me right to my desktop. Now it takes me to the login screen with the icon button that I have to hit for it to boot to my desktop. This just started happening and I dont know why.I liked it the way it use to be. Is there anyway I can just have the computer boot to the desktop again and bypass the login screen?I do not have my account password protected incase you are wondering. Thanks
TheFlash428
I know the settings for this are under the "User Accounts" setting in the control panel--although I'm not sure specifically what options need to be selected. ringfinger
In User Accounts goto "Change The Way Users Log On and Off" and then deselect the Welcome Screen. Reboot.
InTheWayBoy
I've seen this happen after updating windows...must be a new patch that breaks this. Try what the others have suggested and let us know what happened.
